Commitment Ceremony

A commitment ceremony allows adult couples of any gender to make a public declaration of commitment , love and dedication. The occasion can be shared with family and friends or held in private without guests.
Please note that neither the Commitment Ceremony, nor any document issued following the ceremony has any legal status. Whilst Commitment Ceremonies may be carried out in buildings known as Register Offices, they are designated as private venues during these ceremonies.

Fees, Charges and Venues

Please see our fees and charges for current pricing. The ceremony can be held at Oldway Mansion or at any Approved Premises in Torbay.

Booking a Ceremony

For further information on commitment ceremonies or to book a ceremony contact Torbay Register Office. The celebrant will need to see proof that you are over 18 years old before a ceremony can be booked (for a person aged 16 or 17 a letter of consent from the parent or guardian will be required).
