Torbay Council now holds local elections every four years, on the first Thursday of May. The last local elections were held on 3 May 2007. The next elections to be held in Torbay are on Thursday 5 May 2011 – a Mayoral election, Torbay Council elections, Brixham Town Council elections and a UK wide referendum on the Parliamentary voting system.
