To meet the obligations under the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000 Torbay Council must assess the likely impact of proposed and current policies. The process of Race Equality Impact Assessments (EIA) contributes towards our legal requirement to promote good race relations, equality of opportunity and to ensure we eliminate unlawful discrimination for all racial groups. We are also required to publish the results.
