First Public Meeting*
The Preston Ward Partnership’s first public meeting took place on the 22 February at the Redcliffe Hotel. It was a lively evening with over 150 residents in attendance. What were the issues on everyone’s mind? Read the press release below for details.
New Newsletter - Preston Observer
The newly formed Preston Ward Partnership are pleased to launch Preston’s very own newsletter – the Preston Observer. The Preston Observer will highlight new developments in Preston, and report on the work of the Ward Partnership. Preston Ward Partnership – now under development
A group of interested residents and business representatives met on 13 December 2005 to discuss the possibility of setting up a Ward Partnership for Preston. Preston is the only area in the bay that does not currently have such a partnership. ‘A lot of people travel through Preston, but not many people care about it!’, one participant commented! The group felt that a ward partnership could provide an opportunity for improvements to the area and resolved to establish an active partnership as soon as possible.
An Interim Steering Group will meet on Thursday 26 January 2006 at 7.30pm at Paignton Police Station. A full public meeting launching the partnership is planned for Thursday 23 February 2006 at 7.30pm at Oldway Mansion.
