Participation - close up of a group of youngsters. Visit our Gallery.

The Torbay Participation Strategy plays an important role in forwarding Torbay’s commitment to ensuring children and young people have a say and are heard, influencing their lives, their future and their Bay.

This strategy sets a precedent for the involvement of children and young people in all future developments.

The Participation Strategy has been produced with input from a number of groups of children and young people. Their ideas and support have been key in shaping the strategy as well as demonstrating the principles of participation we are keen to promote. A big thank you to all the children, young people and staff involved.

A group of young people called Engaged have produced a young people’s version of the strategy document to encourage young people to get involved.  Please view the Speak Out pages for more information.
