The Council is committed to maintaining high standards of health and safety within its schools. In so doing it seeks to ensure the health and safety of its employees, children and young people attending and visitors to these establishments.

Health & Safety in schools is governed by health and safety legislation and associated regulations that are enforced by the Health & Safety Executive  (HSE).
