Junior Street Wardens are aged from 8-16 years and the scheme aims to:

The Junior Street Wardens are given their own identity with shirts and hooded tops, in an attempt to tackle the perception that all young people have a poor attitudue and are up to mischief.

Regular events and practical hands-on activities are held with the hope that those who take part will educate their peers and family to foster a sense of local responsibility and pride.

The Junior Street Wardens help with litter picks, ‘clean up’ days and graffiti removal. The Junior Street Wardens also carry out street surveys twice a year to help identify environmental issues in their community.

The Junior Street Wardens are keen to help their peers and other people living in their community. The Junior Street Wardens help with a number of activities like garden tidy ups which are carried out for people who cannot maintain their garden due issues like illness or infirmity. The Junior Street Wardens also help the Street Wardens at other community based activities and events.

The Junior Street Wardens are aged from 8-16 years and are from differing backgrounds. The Junior Street Wardens take part in events that encourage them to work together as a team and to build positive relationships.

The Junior Street Wardens work with the people living in their communities on a range of projects and some of that work focuses on providing assistance to older people. The Junior Street Wardens have helped to plant bulbs in sheltered housing schemes and have helped with the baking of cakes and serving of tea and coffee at special community events.
