The campaign seeks to raise awareness about enviro-crime and encourage the community to Take a Stand against littering and other forms of environmental anti-social behaviour. Those people that choose to ignore the rules may be issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice which is £75 in most cases, however the fee does depend on the offence committed. Fixed Penalty Notices are issued as an alternative to prosecution, which means that if fees are not paid, offenders can be prosecuted which will result in a criminal conviction.

Leading on the enforcement of littering offences will be a team of Environmental Compliance Officers (including Dog Wardens) who will be working to combat a wide range of environmental crime including littering, graffiti, fly posting, fly-tipping, inadequately sealed bin bags resulting in waste spillage and bin bags placed out on non collection days. Police Community Support Officers in Torbay will also be issuing Fixed Penalty Notices.
