The Torbay Cycle Forum’s purpose is to help shape and inform local cycling policy and submit ideas on improving cycling infrastructure around Torbay. There is no set criteria to be a member of the forum – just a willingness to participate and to offer up ideas and suggestions that will help the cyclist in Torbay.
Purpose
- Promote cycling in all forms throughout Torbay.
- Inform cycling policy and improve infrastructure.
- Increase awareness of cycling as viable local transport.
- Promote cycling as an excellent way of keeping fit and improving health.
- Educate parents and children and promote cycling as a life skill.
- Develop and maintain close links with all cycling clubs – local and national.
- Promote sport cycling and encourage young people to participate through links with British Cycling, local clubs and schools.

- Local government employees from transport and highways.
- Local cycling enthusiasts.
- Local people who want to make a difference and have some influence over local issues.
