Victoria Park Chelston

Victoria Park, off Sherwell Valley Road in Chelston, is a large (approx 6000m2), multi-functional, community green space.
As well as grassed areas, its play equipment includes a large dome climbing frame, swings and basket swing, mini football pitch, single hoop basketball court, mini roundabout, wooden bridge, youth shelter, seesaw and slide.

Friends of Victoria Park (Chelston)

For two years now, the Friends of Victoria Park (Chelston) opens in a new window have been working with Torbay Council  to enhance the park. In 2011, Stage 2 Playbuilder funding was secured for an Explorer Dome, Duo Swings and Basket Swing but please bear with us until the contractors return the ground to its original state.
The equipment was chosen through several community consultation and fun events in the park in October 2009, April 2010 and September 2010.
The park also received two table tennis tables in 2011 that are proving popular.
The Friends of Victoria Park (Chelston) hold public meetings that are usually on the last Wednesday of the month at Chelston's St Peter's Community Centre (in Queensway nearly opposite the park), see the Friends' noticeboard in the park for details. The Friends also arrange occasional working parties, e.g. 27th March 2012 and another in Sherwell (Pretty) Park 25th March 2012.
