The Building Regulations 2010 effective from 1st October 2010
These regulations revoke and replace the Building Regulations 2000 and consolidate all subsequent amendments into a new Statutory Instrument.
There are minor amendments and 3 new types of work that can be carried out under self-certification schemes;
- Installation of cavity wall insulating material
- Replacements of roof coverings
- Installation of systems to produce electricity by microgeneration or from renewable sources
New Building Regulations and Guidance
New regulations came into force from Ist October 2010 and include;
- Part F - Means of Ventilation.
- Part J - Combustion appliances and fuel storage systems.
- Part L – Conservation of fuel and power.
