Design Advice

Thinking about good design at the earliest stages can enhance your project and add value to the final design.
Thoughtful and inspired design can make a lasting positive contribution to our community. Torbay Council welcomes applications for sustainable, sympathetic and innovative schemes that meet the aspirations of local people.
Upon submission of a pre-application enquiry or a formal application for planning permission Torbay Council works with applicants to achieve designs for schemes that are feasible and approvable.
Please note that if you are unsure about what plans we require with your application and what information your plans must contain then advice can be sought on our plans pages which have been designed to assist you with this.
