Any individual can request to see recorded information held by Torbay Council. You do not have to state why you are requesting the information, although you will need to describe the information you require. The more detail you give us, the quicker and easier it will be for us to find and supply the information.
On receipt of your request Torbay Council has 20 working days in which to inform you in writing whether or not we hold that information (this is known as the "duty to confirm or deny") and if it exists, to let you have the information, unless an exemption applies.
Where an exemption applies, we will tell you which one we have used, unless this would reveal the information.
To request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 you will need to:
- Make the request in writing
- State your name
- Provide an address for correspondence
- Describe the information you require (giving as much detail as possible)
Please submit your request using our contact details on the top right.
