Second Home/Empty Property Discount

If you are responsible for Council Tax on two furnished homes and one of them is not your main home you may be entitled to a discount on your council tax bill.
If your second home is empty and furnished we can offer you a 10% discount on your council tax bill.
If you are required to occupy either property as a condition of your employment where it is specified as part of your employment contract we may be able to grant you a 50% discount. Please tell us your full circumstances and this discount will be considered.
If your second home is empty and unfurnished you may be entitled to an exemption for 6 months from the date the property became empty and unfurnished. After 6 months the exemption expires and the 90% charge becomes due & payable.
