The Torbay Online Asset Database, also known as TOAD, is an in-house database which holds all the information for every asset within Torbay Council’s Property Portfolio. There are different modules within the database. They are:
- TOAD Assets - This is the 'Parent' module within the database. This module lists every asset within Torbay Council's Property Portfolio in the form of a register
- TOAD Condition - The condition survey data for an asset is held within this module
- TOAD Suitability – The suitability survey data for an asset is held within this module
- TOAD Schools – The room schedule survey data for an asset is held within this module
- TOAD DDA - The DDA survey data for an asset is held within this module
TOAD is a really useful tool for storing and analysing Asset Management Plan Data, however the database is relatively new and still being developed. The following module should be available in the near future:
- TOAD Net Capacity - Information from the net capacity survey will be stored here
The creation of the TOAD Database has enabled the Council to hold all information regarding its assets in one database. Reports are currently being developed within TOAD which will enable the Council to analyse the data, this will assist with decision making and the prioritisation of funding and resources.
