Fairtrade

Torbay Council aims to raise awareness and support for Fairtrade in Torbay. Torbay achieved Fairtrade Status in February 2007 thanks to the support of residents, businesses, schools, local groups and organisations.
Be part of something big on Saturday May 12. It's World Fair Trade Day
Support the campaign by completing out online pledge. Residents, businesses, schools and faith groups can all pledge their support.

Torbay Fairtrade Group needs you!

Are you passionate about Fairtrade? Are you keen to help your local community support Fairtrade? The Torbay Fairtrade Group is looking for new members to join and help steer Fairtrade activity in Torbay. The group currently has members from Torbay Council, Paignton Zoo, Coffeeman Torbay, South Devon College, St. Cuthbert Mayne School, Combe Pafford School, Traidcraft as well as active residents of Torbay. Torbay Fairtrade Status Renewed

In June 2008 The Fairtrade Foundation confirmed that Torbay’s status as a Fairtrade Borough has been renewed, following the continued success of the Torbay Fairtrade Campaign. The Fairtrade Foundation congratulated Torbay on the level of support for Fairtrade amongst local residents, schools, workplaces and retailers.
