What counts as harassment?
Harassment could include:
- Withdrawal of services
- Violence or threats
- Entering your property without permission
- Failure to carry out repairs

What will I need to bring with me?
It would be useful if you could bring the following with you:
- Your tenancy agreement
- Copies of any letters from your landlord or notice to quit if you have been given one
- Copies of any letters you have sent to the landlord
- Any records you have kept of incidents of harassment
How is the Council tackling landlords who harass their tenants?
Torbay Council has introduced a Landlords’ Accreditation Scheme for landlords and letting agents in Torbay. Landlords and agents who join the scheme sign up to a voluntary Code of Practice, which includes a statement that they will not harass their tenants.
