Do you rent your property?

If so, you should contact your landlord or Housing Association in the first instance.
You can also contact our Housing Standards Team
A leaflet “Keeping your home free from damp and mould” is also available from the Housing Standards Team on request.
This leaflet gives useful advice about how to avoid damp and condensation in your home.

My landlord won’t come round or My landlord has done some work but I still have a problem.

Contact our Housing Standards Team for advice. You will need to give them the name, address and contact number of your landlord.
Housing Standards may contact the landlord on your behalf and may visit the property to assess the situation themselves.
They will then advise you as to how the problem can be resolved and what further action can be taken.

Do you own your property?

If so, contact the Housing Standards Team. They may be able to give you advice over the telephone or may visit you to look at your property.
