Battery Recycling

Torbay Council has teamed up with the Community Battery Recycling Alliance scheme to provide facilities for recycling household batteries. The scheme aims to set up a network of ‘B-tubes’ across Torbay in places such as shops, post offices and community centres, where residents can deposit used portable household batteries for recycling.
The first B-tube was launched in January 2009 in Boots, Torquay and we would like to hear from other local organisations who are interested in taking responsibility for a B-tube.
You can also recycle household batteries at all the major supermarkets and electrical retailers now and the Civic Amenity site.
