You will need to complete a request form (a 'Con29O' form - obtainable from Law Stationers) to give details of the property and your contact details and send it to the Land Charges Department with a plan clearly identifying the property’s boundaries and the relevant fee (see Land Charges Search Fees). Alternatively, you can complete Torbay’s short version of the application form (Torbay 2), which also includes options for applying for other documents that form part of a local authority property search.  The Local Land Charges Team will send you the replies within 3 to 5 working days.

If you are also submitting an application for an Official Certificate of Search of the Local Land Charges Register or a request for Con 29R replies, it is useful to submit your Con29O application at the same time.

The fees for replying to each form can be incorporated into one payment and only one plan will be necessary. The replies to the Con 29O enquiries will be returned to you at the same time as the other documents.
