You can use this form to view roadworks in Torbay.
How to view details of a roadwork
- Using the Map page: You will need to enter the street name that you want
the information for. If you do not know the name of the street then you may be
able to find it from the street map.When you enter a street name and town we
will update the street map to show the position of that street. Use the toolbar
controls above the map to zoom in and out, pan the map up, down, left or right.
- Using the Search page: You can filter the roadworks on the basis of Impact,
Start date and End Date. Wherever you see this
icon clicking it will take you to a map of the street and then you can use
Selection tool on the Map to get details of roadworks.
Important notice - Not all roadworks are positioned accurately
All the roads with roadworks are highligthed and only the roadworks with a map
reference are marked with men at work image. Please note that the information
is supplied by utility companies and local authorities. Current legislation
only requires location by road and exact map reference location is optional.
Consequently some roads with roadworks are highlighted but do not have the men
at work image as a map reference has not been provided for these roadworks. It
is anticipated that new regulations will make provision of map co-ordinates to
be mandatory during 2006.
Important notice - Not all roadworks on the highway are included
Please note that not all roadworks are included. Utility companies are required
to provide notices of roadworks to the local highway authority before work
commences. Local highway authorities are working towards including their own
planned roadworks but currently these are not all included.
